The Arts and Culture Program is a cultural production-based professional association for the purposes of:
- Leadership
- Civic Participation
- Artistic excellence
- Economic Opportunity and Growth
- Community Developlment
- Mutual Support
- Social Just and Human Rights Activity
- Youth Outreach and Development
The Music Program is a new form of artist development organization that acts as a hybrid between a management company and record label. The music industry is rapidly changing. The groups and companies that will rise to the top in will be those that combine all forms of supporting artists. HHC’s difference is that it asks for very little in return. What the program offers artists are:
- General management advice
- PR Support
- Access to HHC Chapters for grassroots marketing and show opportunities
- Sync licensing opportunities
- Distribution company access
- Larger marketing company and label access
- Access to legal advice and support
The Music Program functions in a variety of ways:
- It connects opportunities that arise within the HHC network to the artists that fit the opportunity the best.
- Create new opportunities (compilations/tours) that focus on combining the resources of HHC and its artists.
- Work with the other arms of HHC (Chapter Development, Education, etc.) to create new initiatives that benefit both areas.
Here is how the music program functions:
Artists are chosen by HHC designated correspondents. Correspondents sponsor one or more artists, making them an HHC artist and taking time to acclimate the artist to opportunities that exist within the HHC system. Although the purpose is simple, the execution is complex. Correspondents must be constantly aware of opportunities that exist through our chapters as well as helping to create new opportunities with existing resources within HHC.
Eventually, the artists become self sufficient within the HHC system, essentially becoming their own correspondents.
